Loreto House Creative is excited to feature Isabel, owner of Life in the Moment to the community! Without any further delay, let’s get to know Isabel!

“I'm a homeschooling mama by day and an artist by night or if I have 5 mins in-between, everything else I have on my list. I have been creating and designing things for as long as I could remember.”

Everyone reading this...how much can you relate to this statement? Praise God for our crazy schedules but it does make it just a little tricky to get everything done! Also, how many of us are juggling not just kids, but also taking on the responsibility of schooling the kiddos PLUS running a side hustle?? First of all, give yourself a round of applause because you are basically a superstar.

I think the most important takeaway from Isabel is that she continues to pursue her passions regardless of the time. She squeezes it in when she can and that is an accomplishment just in itself.

This is Isabel’s beautiful “why”:

“Just a sophomore in high school, I said a quick prayer, "Lord I'm not good at arts and crafts but I want to be an artist. I wish to create and design beautiful things," little did I know, that the Lord will answer my prayer! So, here I am sharing my God-given talent, led by the Holy Spirit while wrapped in Our Lady's Mantle!”

This is absolutely beautiful because Isabel is showing all of us that no matter what you think your talents are or are not, God usually has a different plan if you stay close to Him and invoke His Fatherly direction.

Life in the Moment is an online store where Isabel shares her passion for creating beautiful art in a unique and practical way.

For all those who own an online store, here are some pretty easy rules to follow that Isabel shares:

  • Establish monthly goals

  • Take mental breaks

  • Take one day at a time

Something that stands out to me is the importance of establishing monthly goals. Without a goal, we have nothing to track or stay on task for. If it’s not set in stone, then we are not “really” dedicated to completing the goal if something more important needs to be done. But for Isabel, she totally recognizes the importance of setting a monthly goal and sticking to it, while incorporating mental breaks and not rushing herself.

I know the tendency for me is to set a goal, then go insane as I “try” to complete it all...ALL AT ONCE. So then I become burnt out and unmotivated. What Isabel is SO SMART in doing is giving herself the necessary time to decompress as well as not rushing her work. By her taking the step back, she’s able to refocus on her real reason for doing what she does from a well-rested perspective.

For all of you out there, her one piece of advice is “One day at a time.” Simple but powerful with every word. God only gives us graces for THIS DAY that we are CURRENTLY living. Nothing more and nothing less. The best that we can do to give HIM glory is take it only one day at a time. So thank you, Isabel, for sharing this powerful statement and bringing us all back down to earth.

Thank you Isabel for sharing your heart and becoming a Loreto House Contributor! We are blessed by your insight and by you sharing your heart, I know it has helped others feel that they to can keep pursuing their God-appointed dreams.  Please make sure you go and follow, like, and share what she does because we are stronger together!
