Mastering the Social Media Rollercoaster: 3 Tips for Consistent Posting and Sanity

Can I share a secret? Social media is driving me crazy as of late! I’m sure I’m not alone in this, but it feels good to say it out loud. What I’ve noticed happens with my relationship with social media is I’m 100% for it, feel confident in what I’m sharing, and stay consistent for a little while. Then, it all begins to slip. And it continues to slip until I am doing nothing on social media. This lasts a decent amount of time until I pick myself back up and begin to share and post again. This is cyclical, and it’s just back and forth, back and forth.

How do we avoid this and stay consistent with our social posting? Here are three ways I’ve learned to stay disciplined and consistent no matter the outcome.

  1. Put it on the calendar. Put your social media schedule on the calendar and turn alerts on. This has helped me stay accountable to a schedule.

  2. Don’t over-commit. If you’re not posting seven days a week, it might be hard to go from 0 posts a week to 7 posts. Start small. Start with committing to 2 posts a week, for example.

  3. Stay in motion. This is a BIG one. Stay creative. If you stay creative, more creativity will flow. I find Threads has been amazing in keeping my creative juices flowing. I post a thought every morning, and it feels to set my brain in the right disposition for the rest of the day. Give yourself opportunities for creativity every day. This will make all other tasks easier.

Try to implement these three ways for a month and see how it goes. See if it gives you more creative opportunities and opportunities to win in your business.
