4 Powerful Questions to Immediately Uncover Your Ideal Business Offering

Maybe I am just speaking for myself, but I find it incredibly challenging to know (with certainty) the business idea or path I am meant to focus on and pursue. I find myself intrigued by many different kinds of businesses, love learning new things, and generally excel at anything I set my mind. Not to mention, how am I supposed to find out what will produce income? I find myself a professional “generalist” at the end of the day, leading to frustration and aggravation.

Is this you? Do you see the world around you and immediately think of new ideas or business solutions that could solve problems? Do you need help to stick to one path instead of going in 5 directions at all times of the day? Do you succeed at anything you put your mind to and could do “anything”? You are not alone! This is a blessing, but it can sometimes be challenging to fine-tune your offering and stick to your “thing.”

I have by no means “arrived” at this, but the following four questions from the IKIGAI Method have always helped my creativity flow and narrow down an area to focus on. I hope they help you as well!

  • What are you good at?

  • What brings you a sense of joy or fulfillment?

  • What can you be paid for?

  • Would people spend money on this/ is there a group of people that would see the value in your offer?

After you’ve answered these questions, what can you combine to create a unique offering that you confidently know you have expertise in and a passion and love for? Because you’re filling a need, people will come and purchase your offering.

With this list, make sure you don’t talk yourself out of putting any idea down. All thoughts are welcome.

Once you have this list, check out my free resource, “How To Drive Market Awareness.” That way, you will know precisely how to get your new idea on the map and what steps you need to take to make that happen.

I hope these questions help you find a skill you didn’t even know you had or narrow your area of expertise into your “thing.” God blessed us with unique skills and knowledge, and each one is qualified to make those skills come to life and provide income for our families.
